Alphas - This pair are the leaders of the pack, and should be respected highly! They make all the desicions, and none are to be made without their consent. Their word is Law, and none shall go against it.
Heir - Heir to the pack and a child or adopted child of the alphas. They have no political power but are trained from birth to one day assume the throne. They may be kept from the life of a normal pup if the Alphas deem it necessary.
Betas - The second in command, these wolves take over when the Alpha(s) are not around. They deserve as much respect as the Alpha(s) and are to be viewed upon as such. They are not the leaders, merely the Alpha(s) in training, should something happen to them and the heir of the pack is not ready to take their throne.
Deltas - Are the Betas-In-Training, the third highest ranking in the pack. They oversee all when the Alpha(s) and Beta(s) are not present. They usually keep the peace and solve triffle arguments as they train to step up to Beta, once the position opens.
Elders - Usually the oldest of the pack. They use their wordly insight to guide the pack, tell stories to the pups, and help around when able. They are also part of the council. Are to be shown with outmost respect for they are the pack's oldest and wisest members, often advising the Alpha(s)
LoreKeeper - This wolf is the wolf that knows all about the history of the wolves and the pack they belong to. They keep stories locked within their mind, coming out when it is time to share them with the whole pack or one member to get a lesson across. These wolves are gentle wolves, quiet but filled with much wisdom.
Guardians - These wolves can be considered "BodyGuards" and are to escort the other council members to other packs. Should a fight break out, these wolves get the others to saftey, then return and defend the pack. Guardians are more inclined to be with the pack and protecting the pack boundaries, staying with the pack in time of need or suspicious activities. The guardian is responsible for informing the Alpha(s) and/or Beta(s) should something new arise, a new scent, problem etc. They are to protect and fight for the pack, should something threat the pack.
Hunters - Not everyone is able to hunt, but these wolves excel at it. They are to keep the Cache stocked, and make sure that everyone has enough to eat. These wolves are specially adapt at tracking and killing, and are of heavy size and weight to take done tough prey. Oftentimes they team up with the Scouts in search of prey.
Scouts - Are the wolves who are well trained at tracking. They go off in search of lone wolves to recruit to the pack, search for missing wolves, helping the Hunters, and scent the area in case of intruders. These wolves are usually solitary by nature, and are keen at blending in with their surroundings.
Caretaker - These wolves care for the pack's injured or elderly. They are also known as the "Pup-Sitters" They know much about natural healing and are able to apply it.
PackMates - The Body of the pack. They do what they can for the pack, but normally just let the Higher Ranking wolves do what their job is required of them. Though they do not play a specific role in the pack they are the heart of the family, keeping active, and building bonds. They are the glue between the other wolves. They are also wolves who have not yet defined what their special role in the pack is.
Pack Pups: Cute, frisky little balls of fluff! These are the considered the future, and are highly cherished within the pack. They remain in this category until 1 year of age.
Omegas -The lowest rank in the pack. This usually reserved for punishment, or new wolves who wish to join the pack who have yet proven themselves.
Pledges - Wolves who have interacted with the pack and who have decided to call us their home. This is a testing period that lasts as long as the Alphas decide. Pledge is an introduction, a time of learning and of gaining understanding. It is during this time that we will come to know the wolf and the wolf in us. You will come to know this as your home, your family and should understand the importance of such. Any wolf that visits the pack frequently we come to know, we are in effect assessing the wolf for that reason making a wolf a pledge is focusing our attention on an on going (yet informal) process considering this happens automatically.
Slave - A captive of the pack that may not be protected by pack law. They are at the mercy of the pack should the alpha/alphess give permission to their pack to do as they wish. The alpha is the only protection a slave has.
