Nostrils flared as she inhaled the aromas that lingered within the air, her pointed white ears pivoting atop her head as she listened to the soft sounds of her paws beating in a steady rhythm against the soft forest floor. The female stopped on occasion as the winds rustled the leaves of the trees, a gentle whistle of the breeze whispering in her ears as she strolled aimlessly through the darkness. The canine peered around the wilderness cautiously as she crept her way through the undergrowth, the odd branch of leaves brushing against her side from time to time as she turned sharply past thick tree-trunks. Her dainty paws guided her across the vast, maze like terrain carelessly. She hadn’t any knowledge of where she was going, all she knew was that her paws kept moving, weaving her around tall trees and large rocks. She didn’t mind the random wonder, she was happy at the knowledge that this was her territory.The forest was mild and the dingy canopy allowed so little light through their entangled mess of branches above, making the area appear more eerie then it really was. Bright blue eyes shimmered under the moonlight as she came to a small opening, the light of the moon catching her gaze as she surveyed the land with a expressionless stare. Niraya found her stare drawn to a small creek, the female stood transfixed, watching the white light of the moon reflect across its clear waters. A snort escaped her as she shook her head slightly, pink tongue hanging out to one side of her mouth as she lowered her head to the ground, nose touching the floor as she inhaled all the new and old scents that still lingered. There was nothing of interest and Niraya focused her attention back to the creek in front, once again watching the waters surface, taking her time as she took in the new. scenery that surrounded her.

It's not that unusual When everything beautiful It's just another Ordinary miracle today
The light filtered down between the the leave of the trees, silver in it's odd color of the moon. Slowly and quietly the white and purple made his way through these odd lands in which he had never steeped foot. Anubis was an intruder in these parts, that was true but it was as if the male had always belonged here. The land whispered it's secrets to the big brute as he walked, enjoying the feel of the moss under his paws. It moved gently under the white hand, leaving his prints behind him. How long had he wandered now? It seemed like ages and perhaps it had been. Ghosts of his past raveled behind him as he had cast them to the wastes of memory. Those memories were too bitter and mournful to carry on his shoulders now. But still those ghost held a haunting in his eyes, scars of his ordeal that would always mark him for what he truly was. A broken man.
Anubis looked up from his musings, reaching a small creek. His violet eyes gazed across the water as he stood in shadow, transfixed on the small female that stood across from him. She was a pretty one, her coat the color of the moon itself, unmarred by a mark of any kind. "Wow...."
|
he said to himself, hardly above a whisper at all. He meant the female no harm and he had no intentions of making himself known. He didn't want to scare her with his size. He imply watched, hoping she hadn't heard his quiet remark. [/blockquote]

[cs=3]

As she looks onto the water, enjoying the shimmering light she thinks she hears a soft sound. Her head jerks up as her ears prick, her eyes scanning the area. She sees nothing and smells no scent so she deems it safe to return to her inner thoughts. Her small form sitting in the dense, soft grass. Her mind wonders as her eyes scan the edges of the water, not really seeing anything, just looking aimlessly. As the wind blows from the north and into her face, blowing her fur and making her close her eyes as she enjoys the breeze, a scent hit hers full on. She swiftly stands with poise as she sniffs the air, her ears and eyes directed to a dark spot across the creek. She raises her upper lip slightly, only to let the intruder know she knows no fear. She raises her tail high to show her rank and dominance. She still cannot see the male that her nose tells her is there but she doesn't let down groud, giving him a chance to present himself before she investigates.

Muttering a quiet curse to himself as she detected his prescience, Anubis weighted his options. He could turn and walk away but that would lead to him being lonely once more. His other option was to make himself known to this small fae as he could probably not alert her anymore. Her tail was curled over her back in dominance, a stance he often held his in. It was a gutsy move for a loner such as he but he had led his family, no matter how small in size in comparison to a pack. Not wanting to be alone any more, the white male stepped into a stream of light that was cast by the moon, not bothering to change his stance. If this wolf could not accept him as he was, there was no hope for a friendship or anything else and Anubis was not one to hide things of any nature.
Looking down his muzzle at the female across the water he was relaxed but his natural air staid about him. "My name is Anubis. What may I call you"?

he said, his voice gruff as it always was though there was no challenge or anger held there. It was carefully neutral. [/blockquote]

[cs=3]

Looks at the large male, her not moving an inch as she hears him speak. Her thoughts race to decide what to do. Should she retreat, or speak to the brute. As her keen eyes look over him, scanning his form as if studying a whole nother world. She perks her ears, to show she means no harm. Her not thinking she could beat this much larger male in a battle anyway. Of course she wouldn't let anyone know she doubted her fighting abilities. As she lowers her tail, only slightly. Still showing that this is her turf but letting him know she realizes he is larger and a male. It seems likes hours before she decides to speak, her voice a soft bell like noise. "I am Niraya, Alpha of the Twilight pack. You are on my territory. I do not mind wanderers as long as they do not hunt my lands. Do you have a pack or are you Lone?
